The Neugini Naturals Story: A Commitment to Quality Vanilla

Neugini Naturals Pty Ltd, an Australian-owned company, was founded in 2013 amid a global vanilla shortage. With Madagascar’s vanilla production struggling, prices soared by 500% over just a few years, pushing many toward artificial vanillin as a cheaper alternative.

Recognizing both the challenge and the opportunity, Neugini Naturals set out to establish a sustainable supply chain by building strong relationships with farmers and suppliers. However, the journey wasn’t easy. Despite their efforts, early shipments were repeatedly rejected due to mold issues—traced back to improper curing and poor farming practices.

Rather than compromise on quality, Neugini Naturals took a bold step. They invested in their own vanilla fields in Papua New Guinea, working closely with experienced farmers and specialists to ensure strict quality control from cultivation to curing.

By 2019, their vision came to life with a 5-hectare vanilla farm, home to over 2,000 vines and accommodations for farmers. This initiative allowed them to consistently produce and supply premium-grade vanilla.

Today, Neugini Naturals is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of high-quality vanilla beans and products. Despite market fluctuations and challenges, the company remains dedicated to providing exceptional vanilla—staying true to its commitment to quality, sustainability, and fair trade.
