“Neugini Naturals” Pty Ltd, an Australian-owned company originally started trading in 2013 as an Import and export company, at a time when demand for vanilla is very high and the market is looking for an alternative due to the immense drop down in Madagascar vanilla production and supply.
At this time market prices for vanilla had gone up from 500% within 2-3 years and people, therefore, started using more artificial vanillin to flavor the dishes due to the skyrocketed price of vanilla.
However, by this time Neugini Naturals owners started gathering and connecting with farming communities and suppliers to meet the demand which took them more than 3 years to establish a proper and constant supplier chain. However, this strategy did not go well and the effort they put had faded away when they got tonnes of vanilla beans returned from their customers constantly due to moldformations.
Then the owners had started an investigation of the issue and they had realised those beans they bought from the farmers were not properly cured and had been using poor farming techniques.
But keeping faith in their hard work, finally they had come up with something solid and secure. They decided to maintain their own farming fields in Papua New Guinea using experienced farmers and trainers so that they can manage the quality standards.
In 2019, their idea had become a reality and started 5ha of vanilla cultivation with more than 2000 vines with farmer accommodations in Papua New Guinea, which now they cansupply high-quality vanilla in large quantities constantly.
With this huge movement, now “Neugini Naturals” has become one of Australia’s most reputed and largest gourmet and high-quality vanilla beans and product manufacturers and suppliers.
